Cookies. What are they, and why do we need them?

A cookie is a piece of data from a website that is stored within a web browser that the website can retrieve at a later time. Cookies are used to tell the server that users have returned to a particular website.

Such as your email and password or the items in your shopping carts. Without cookies (and, in a way, cache), the websites wouldn't remember you had visited there before.

GDPR and most other privacy laws require that you disclose to visitors what information you collect from them, such as their personal data and what you do with this information.

If you use cookies to collect data from your site users, then you must have a cookie policy. (Note that this clause can be included on the privacy policy page as well)
